Crafty Christmas; A "JOY"-ful Craft

This cute little plaque was quite easy to make. I did have to make a few compromises from what I had in my head of how I wanted it to look, though.  I originally wanted a large jingle bell in the middle, but could not find one anywhere. I decided to substitute this glitter ornament ball from the dollar store instead, and it turned out pretty cute!

Supplies:
A J and a Y wooden letters from the craft store. Mine are about 6-8 inches tall.
A large Glitter ball ornament from the dollar store
Wood base: approximately 4x 8 or 4 x 12
Spray paint
A 12x12 sheet of Christmas scrapbooking paper
Modge podge or elmers glue
hot glue gun
ribbon/embelishment

Directions:
1 Spray paint wooden base in desired color
2 Spray paint wooden letters in desired color
3 After letters dry: Put them face down on the back side of the scrapbooking paper and trace around them.
4 Cut out letters from scrapbooking paper.
5 Spread glue on front of letters
6 Place scrapbooking paper right side up onto the wooden letters, smooth out any airbubbles.
7 Embelish the ornament with ribbon or tie on's as desired.
8 Hot glue the ornament into the desired spot in the middle of the board
9 Hot Glue the J and the Y into place.
