Pretzel Candy Melts

Need a super fast Spring treat to take to school, work, or to deliver to friends for the Easter holiday? Then this fun twist on: 10 Minute Turtle Candy  is perfect for you. In 10 minutes you can have a huge pile of these salty/sweet treats that will be hard to resist.

This is one candy, that your children/grandchildren can help you make too!

Pretzel Candy Melts:

Ingredients:
1 bag of mini pretzel twists, squares or wheels
2 pkg's of colored candy melts
1 pkg. candy (M &M's: plain, peanut butter, or mini Cadbury eggs )

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degree's
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place pretzels on baking sheet.
Place one candy melt on top of each pretzel.

Bake in oven 2-3 minutes till candy is melted.
(Jan's tip: "Candy Melts" are just like chocolate when they melt, they retain their original shape, so look for them to get shiny and soft to the touch.)
Can you see how they look a little shiny
here? They are soft to the touch and melted.

Immediately remove from oven and start gently squishing a candy piece on top of each one before the candy melts set up and get hard.  See below I added a few candy sprinkles on some of them too.

Once the candy is set and hard, you can package them up. I put them in clear cellophane bags and tucked them into some tissue lined Easter cups:
