This months theme is "A Time for Giving". Perfect to share your posts on Thanksgiving, counting your blessings, as well as your ideas for the upcoming gift giving season! What are you making, baking, and crafting?
How does your family give thanks? Do you have any traditions or must have recipes for the big day?
Let me tell you how I celebrate Thanksgiving. My day starts at.. well I actually I really don't go to sleep Wednesday night. I am usually up, at a dirty ol' warehouse putting together over 400 Thanksgiving day newspapers stuffed full of Black Friday ads, and then when the main headlines finally show up around 3 am (hopefully!) my husband and I divide the papers in half, load the Van/Cars and go out and deliver all those huge, fat, bad boys! By the time I come home around 7:00 am it is time to get the turkey into the oven, and then.... off to bed! A few hours sleep and it is back up to create memories, and good food.
|This stack of black friday papers from 2013 only has 3 of it's 5 parts!|
Took this while I was sitting waiting on the last 2 parts to show up!
My Thanksgiving day tradition? If I have extra newspapers, I leave them on my front porch and post a message on facebook or by text to friends and neighbors so they can quietly come pick up a free one while I sleep!
