Christmas Craft Giveaway!

This year I am making for some family members, these adorable "Away In a Manger" Shadow Boxes.  I am even thinking of cutting a slot in the top of the shadow box and sending along a little basket of straw pieces so the families can turn it into an Acts of Love/Kindness or Advent activity, where they drop in little pieces of straw every time they do something loving, or every night before bed as they celebrate the season.

For coworkers adn friends I am making these little Snowmen Mason Jars'. and filling them with treats.

My inspiration came directly from WeCutVinyl.com.  They are a small company that can customize vinyl lettering for your walls, or craft projects. I could spend endless hours just looking through their Christmas Craft ideas!  I also love how many size options most of these projects have! I chose the 8x10 shadow box vinyl, and the 3 inch Snowman vinyl.

Vickie over at We Cut Vinyl tells me she need about a 2 week lead time on orders before shipping during this busy holiday season. She is super helpful too! She can answer any questions you may have, and I love working with her! ( With her help, I am currently dreaming up a special project for my kitchen aid mixer!).

For the Away in A Manger Shadow Box:
I purchased the 8x10 sized vinyl piece (seen in photo above) from WeCutVinyl.
From a craft store I puchased:
Shadow Box 8x10 sized
Scrapbooking paper 12x12 that looks like old wood
raffia Style Straw
Other Supplies:
Glue Stick
Hot Glue Gun.

Apply Vinyl to glass of shadow box according the directions that come with the vinyl.
cut and glue with glue stick the scrapbook paper to fit the inside back of shadow box.
Hot glue pieces of raffia Straw to inside center bottom of shadow box.
Replace the back of the shadowbox.

For the Snowman Jar:
I purchased the  3 inch snowman vinyl (chose orange for the nose) from wecutvinyl
Other supplies:
empty clean smooth sided mason jar
Ribbon /material for a scarf
White treats to fill jar.
Mason Jar lid for the top.
Apply vinyl according to the directionis that come with the vinyl to selected area on mason jar.
Cut out a thin "scarf" from ribbon /material. Tie around neck of mason jar.
Fill jar with treats.
Seal top with lid.
