BBQ Ribs in Oven

Baking a rack of ribs in the oven so they are fall off the bone tender, and still be finger lickin' good bbq grill full of flavor? There is a way to do it! Don't be intimidated, I'll share a few tips that work for me.
How to Bake Ribs

The key to baking ribs in the oven is "Low and Slow".  So just plan on allowing a few hours, but it is very worth the results, trust me!
You ready? Ok. Lets get you started.

Rack of Ribs

First lets talk about a dry rub.
Do you have your own favorite?
What ever you use will be just fine!
If you need a suggestion heres' a few:

I have Porkers Rib Rub

or today i used my son's:
SondaBum's BBQ Rub
1/4 cup granulated garlic
1/4 cup paprika
1/4  cup kosher salt
1/8 cup brown sugar (optional)
1 Tablespoon black pepper

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Rinse the rack of ribs under water and place on foil lined pan.
Spread the dry rub over the ribs covering generously both sides.
Cover pan with foil, and bake for 2 hours.
Remove pan from oven, remove foil.
Increase heat of oven to 375 degrees.
Brush top of ribs with BBQ sauce.
Return pan to oven (leave uncovered) for 30 minutes.
Remove Ribs from oven and let rest for 15 minutes before cutting apart.
Cut between each bone to separate ribs.

  1. I'll be pinning this for the future! My go to way of making ribs is actually in the crockpot but then they sometimes get too "fall off the bone". This seems like a good alternative.

    1. My hubby banned me from making mine in the crock pot for that exact reason! lol! I don't like to eat meat off the bone, but he sure is, so I finally got the technique down just for him.
